Rachel & Steph welcome Dr. Rishi Sriram from Baylor University to the podcast. In this episode, they chat with Dr. Sriram about how learning occurs in the brain, how important and normal forgetting is to learning and the importance of interleaving, spacing and mindfulness. They have an amazing conversation about how essential productive struggle is to learning as a whole. Dr. Sriram also shares some fantastic tangibles–things we can immediately do impact the lives of the learners in our practices. He also shares some thoughts he and his wife have developed on parenting with high expectations while not linking their kids self-esteem to their learning.
